Hello

I live in Dunbar. There is a small cessna-sized aircraft that flies slow circles over (I assume) English Bay. He circles 10 or 20 times over a period of 1 or 2 hours. He never seems to actually go anywhere – just circles. Over the past 4 years this has usually been from 4 to 7 pm so it has only disturbed BBQs in the backyard. But last night it was from midnight until 1:30 in the morning. This individual obviously doesn’t realize that he is disturbing the sleep of 100,000 people.

Would it be possible to track down who it is and ask them to actually fly somewhere and to refrain from doing it after midnight.

I live in Champlain Heights. It is 0909 on Monday, January 9, 2012, and aircraft noise has been constant for at least the last hour and continues as I write this. Also, there is frequently aircraft noise at night as late as 0300, This has been going on for months. Can you please let us know why we are being subjected to thisamount of noise at this time of year. Your website does not mention any maintenance on the south runway.

Marpole resident’s haven’t been able to sleep for weeks due to the north runway being used late at night until 3-4 am with not stop air traffic…when it this going to end?…. Sleepless in Vancouver

What is the point in reporting noise?? How will YVR respond to these concerns? What are the real measures that will be taken to address these complains?

Do residents affect by noise really have any power or opportunity to improve this situation?
