It’s summer travel season again at YVR – our busiest season, and a good time to remind travellers of those key packing tips that help cut down time spent going through security before a flight, and reduce those dreaded line-ups.
Our partner in charge of pre-board screening, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, or CATSA, has created a video that explains what can and can’t fly in terms of liquids, gels and aerosols in carry-on luggage.
(In short: Each passenger is allowed to carry on a 1 litre clear, closed and resealable bag with containers no larger than 100ml placed inside.)
These regulations still catch people by surprise, so be sure to have a look if you’re travelling by plane somewhere this summer and need a refresher.
YVR has also posted some additional travel tips on its website.
Happy travels!
