This morning, Air Canada unveiled their newly decorated Boeing 777. The aircraft features a specially designed 2010 themed livery from nose to tail in recognition of being the Official Sponsor of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The unveiling event took place inside the Air Canada Hangar at YVR with a number of fun exhibits and giveaways including appearances by mascots Quatchi, Miga and Sumi, athletes from the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic teams and the gravity defying Flying Canucks acrobats.
Onsite at the event, the Airport Authority also showcased an interactive podium exhibit – one of their Look of the Games exhibits. Guests climbed up to enjoy their own podium experience. To see some of those crowning moments, or to share your photos from the podium visit www.yvrconnections.com.
During the unveiling event, Vancouver Airport Authority’s CEO, Larry Berg, announced that they will unveil more on the Look of the Games at YVR in the coming months which will spread the Games experience to a broader international community.
Keep an eye out for the new 2010 themed Boeing 777 which will take to the skies on July 16 servicing routes to Europe, Asia and the South Pacific sharing the spirit of Vancouver 2010 Winter Games with the world.
