Check out the new www.yvr.ca

Yesterday, www.yvr.ca launched with a new look.

Our customers, community members, business partners and employees provided us with valuable feedback. We listened to those suggestions and worked to create a more user-friendly site, and one that is more in keeping with YVR’s ambience and sense of place.

We’re excited to offer a dynamic new Gateway to the Games as we welcome the world to our city. Check out the new site and let us know what you think. And don’t forget to bookmark your favourite pages.

Hi
Unfortunately the newly revised site doesn’t work on my BB8330. The old site although quite cumbersome did work and you could usually look for arrival info with one hand. Now most of the graphics overlap, the GO button cannot be seen when looking for a flight and even sending an email under contact us or commenting in this blog doesnt work from my mobile device. I was really looking forward to the new system but doesn’t seem to be either designed for BBerry. Any comments?

Hi David,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The site was optimized for mobile devices such as the iphone and blackberry. i have both an iphone and blackberry curve and it works well on my phones. i had my images turned off and when i turned it back on the go button came up. i’ve found that browsing on my blackberry isn’t as intuitive using explorer and my colleague recommended an app called Opera for blackberry. hope that helps!

What happened to the link for the YVR Skytalk magazine on the YVR website?

Daniel – Apologies for the delay responding. Our new website features only Vancouver Airport Authority publications. Skytalk is an independent publication that we contribute to. An electronic version of SkyTalk is available at http://www.skytalkonline.com.

If you would like to receive information about YVR electronically, we have an e-newsletter called Air Mail that features many of the articles in SkyTalk. To sign up for Air Mail visit http://www.yvr.ca and sign up on our home page.
