Due to an alleged terrorist incident on Friday, the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Security Directive to U.S. and international airlines mandating additional security measures for flights inbound to the U.S. Passengers departing for U.S. destinations are encouraged to check in as much of their luggage as possible and travel with a minimum of carry-on baggage. This will help passengers move as quickly as possible through additional security measures.
What are those measures?
Additional security measures that will be conducted by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) prior to boarding at the gate will include: Personal physical search (pat down) and inspection of all personal property you are carrying onto the aircraft.
