As of 0830 this morning, a number of US-bound flights out of YVR are delayed due to the enhanced screening required by the US Transportation Security Administration. Passengers destined for the US are reminded that they can only carry on one bag aboard aircraft headed for the United States. Travelers can also check the status of their flight at www.yvr.ca.

Awesome! Very informational!
What are we allowed to carry on at this time. I am travelling to Costa Rica via American Airlines on Jan 7th. In other words I am sestined for the US–can I have a 2 carry ons
Thank you
As of today (January 5), and according the Transport Canada, all restrictions are still in place for U.S-bound passengers and people connecting through the U.S. that means no carry-on luggage apart from a small purse or diaper bag is permitted.
For flights going to the US how long in advance should we arrive to ensure we do not miss our flight? We are going to LAX and flight time is 7am.
Also are they using the full body scans for everyone? We are travelling with two small kids under the age of 10 years old.
Thanks….
