Hi Chris -- the best thing you can do is visit the Canadian Air Transport Security website at www.catsa.gc.ca where they provide an itemized list of items you can bring on an aircraft. Enjoy your trip to Disneyland!

Hello,
We are going to Disneyland and I was just wondering what I can take in my napsack as a carry on. I have a 6 year old boy who gets ear infections etc. and I would like to bring tylenol on the plane, some small snacks (carrots etc), crayons and paper, my entertainment book with coupons and my extra costume jewelry. Are these all acceptable things to bring on. Also can I bring a can of mousse- 60 ml even if the can says container under pressure - store between 5-25 degrees. Thank you for your response. Chris

Hi Paul,
Early morning is when we do see more people going to the U.S. here, but in the last few weeks, line ups have been moving really well through U.S. departures. Unfortunately, there's no magic formula about how many people to expect on the 12th - some days are lighter than others.

I'd go with whatever your airline recommends. My huabsand and I usually battle on how early to get to the airport when we travel (he likes to arrive earlier than i do) so we usually agree on two hours before a U.S. flight and three - four hours before and international flight. hope this helps.

My family and I am flying out at 7.40 am on Feb 12th to Mexico via a connection through Houston TX. My question how bad are the security lines at that time of the Morning? I heard opposing things that early is really busy and some people that arrived 3 hours early breezed through and then sat there for hours because they arrived too early.

Is it really that busy around 4.30am?

Hi Jacquie -
Actually, traffic has been fine here at the airport. You can still pick up and drop off family and friends at the curb, and take a taxi to and from YVR. I had family arriving the other day and it was smooth sailing getting to and from the airport. Hope that helps!

I have to pick up someone but have heard that there is so much traffic now that it would be better to meet them at the park & fly.

This is just to be on the safe side.
I just wanted to ask about European destinations. I will be flying to Amsterdam from YVR and I'm assuming that there are no such restrictions for European flights.
Is this true?

Cheers,
Afshin

Hello,
I am wanting to take some cheddar cheese to a friend in Cancun. I will be checking this bag,and read on the Catsa site,it's better to use a bag of frozen peas to keep things cold, instead of the usual gel paks. Is this allowed??...will customs get upset when they Xray my checked bag about the cheese and frozen peas inside??..(weird request I know)...

We're travelling from Vancouver to Mexico later this week. We have a connecting flight in the U.S. What is the allowable size of purse one can take (it says small purse, but what are the actual dimensions?) and what are the specific liquid guidelines one can bring in that purse. ie: could I bring my contact solution? I don't want to be held up in screening because of the size of my purse. Thanks.
