In a previous YVR Connections story, we introduced Vancouver Airport Authority’s support with a Growing Champion, Braydon Luscombe. On Wednesday, November 25, Braydon Luscombe and his mother, Charmaine arrived from windy Duncan, B.C. to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) where Braydon received tickets to the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games and as well tickets to watch a para-alpine skiing event.

Braydon and Charmaine received a full tour of YVR including both Domestic and International Terminals, airside, firehall and the tower. During the tour Braydon met many of the Airport Authority employees who sent him luck and well wishes with his Para- Alpine Ski training and his quest to reach the podium at Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

Wow, what a fine looking group of young men !! Just a note to say how memorable all of our tour was. Extremely informative, very professional, and I personally came away from the Vancouver Airport feeling very safe and secure for future travel through Vancouver.
Sincerely, Charmaine Luscombe
