RCMP Musical Ride Horses visit YVR

On February 10, two members from the RCMP Musical Ride, Hector and Venus, paid a visit to YVR.  Before taking up a post in Chester Johnson Park, 21 year old, Hector (left) and eight year old, Venus (right) graciously posed with visitors and Vancouver Airport Authority employees.

The two horses then took up positions in the park in front of the three totem poles—the perfect place to greet international visitors arriving at YVR.  Visitors were delighted to see these iconic symbols of Canada welcoming them.  Hector and Venus, clearly pros at the photo op, stood patiently as guests from the United States, Australia, China and Japan among other countries posed beside them.

Both Hector and Venus and the rest of The RCMP Musical Ride team will be performing at the Surrey 2010 Celebration Site in Holland Park from February 12 to 28, 2010.
