Air Canada recently announced that starting January 2011, they’re adding the first and only service from YVR to Haneda Airport in Japan. This is awesome news for us and anyone travelling to Japan as Haneda is a quick 30 minutes from central Tokyo.
You may not have heard of Haneda, but it’s the 2nd largest airport in Asia and welcomes more than 62 million travellers each year. That’s more than Canada’s entire population!
We’re excited about this news because every new service coming into YVR brings in added economic and employment benefits. Air Canada’s new flight will leave YVR daily and combined with current daily flights to Narita, you can fly direct to Japan any day of the week. So grab that Japanese translation book and think Japan for your next adventure.
